We went to the beach and asked local riders: is winging hard or easy?

One of our favorite answers was: it is hard until it's easy! And it's true, wing foiling is a challenging sport to learn, but it is totally achievable and worth the effort to learn!

Riders also shared their number one tip to progress. I hope this helps and you feel inspired to get out there and learn this amazing sport!

The votes were veryyyyy close in this category, and had many twists and turns! And it’s the Cabrinha rider Damien LeRoy & @plantpositivefilms (24,5% – 889 votes) who together win the title of your favorite content creator of 2022! Between their Youtube channel and their Instagram, these two provide us with high quality tutorials, as well as product reviews, beautiful wingfoil images and also vlogs always full of fun and humor! In second place is Hadou Brunner (20,17% – 732 votes)! The Frenchman has one of the most qualitative Youtube channels in the world of wingfoil, with product reviews that make reference, precise and useful tutorials and also high quality video productions. Not to miss ! On the third step of the podium, we find Erwan Jauffroy (13,64% – 495 votes)! This former editor of the best French board sports magazines of their time (yes I grew up reading WindMag) is now at the head of a very successful youtube channel: Watersport Zone. With him too, we find detailed tutorials, product reviews, techniques, advice but also really fascinating interviews! And this mainly in wingfoil, but also in windsurfing, kiteboarding, SUP… A little further behind these three YouTube champions, we find in 4th place Balz Müller @radiculo (8,02% – 291 votes) who, with his many creative videos around the wing and the foil, always brings more fun to our Instagram feed. These are creators who really deserve a look!

Today Harry is bringing you onboard for a wing foil session where he is testing a new Cabrinha prototype wing! We kept this video minimally edited to give you a more real view at how wing foiling works from start to finish.

Katie grew up in the mountains, and has never done any water sports prior to learning wing foiling. Wing foiling isn't an easy sport, but it is such a fun activity that it makes it worth the early stages struggles.

We have all seen the devastation caused by Hurricane Ian in Southwest Florida. The crushing storm surge, wind speeds, and torrential rainfall left countless homes and businesses damaged or under water. Our friends and family in the water sports community are experiencing a loss that no one should ever have to experience and devastation that will take coming together as a water sports family to help rebuild homes, businesses, and communities.

It is hard to find reliable and trustworthy sources to donate. We have set up a list of “GoFundMe” links to provide direct support to friends and family in the water sports community that have been devastated by Hurricane Ian. You may know them, have kited or wingfoiled with them, efoiled or surfed with them, or just had a laugh and warm conversation on the beach with them. You may not know them at all. How to get up on a low volume - sinker board. Usually anything smaller than a 50 liter board might be considered a sinker board, depending on your weight. Getting up on a sinker board requires you to sink the board before getting going. While there are several techniques to get the job done, today Gwen shares his favorite technique so you can take your wing foiling to the next level. Hope this helps!
